Anime Review #1: Clannad

Hi guys. I'm pretty bored. So I thought I'd do a review on one of the series that I've watched. Because that's what nerds do. They review anime for the general public.
I've watched Clannad once and currently going through it a second time because I want to remember what happened so I can fully understand the second series, After Story.
This review will be split up into STORYLINE, CHARACTERS, MOOD, and UNIQUENESS.


STORYLINE
Well well well. If you watched this before, there's not a whole lot I can say to you. If you haven't, then why the hell are you reading this when you could be watching Clannad? This series has one of the best storylines ever. Of course I'm not going to spoil it for you, but this I will say: Clannad will keep you interested and addicted over the course of 24 episodes. What the storyline is, pretty much, is the life of one boy and his relationship with several other girls. AS FRIENDS. Except one. GAH I SAID TOO MUCH ALREADY

CHARACTERS
If you were looking for some super unique people, Clannad satisfies, but doesn't super excite. I will admit that the cast of Clannad is very diverse and unique. Each character has a completely different personality and I will bet that you will have one favorite. It's that spread out.
Rating: 8/10

MOOD
This is the perfect anime to talk about when it comes to the mood. Clannad knows just when to pop in some humor and can catch you off guard with its serious moments. Clannad is very funny, although there are funnier animes out there. However, Clannad isn't known for its humor. Again, the storyline and characters are what make Clannad famous among anime fans. I am pretty sure that 50% of people who watch this tear up at the appropriate moments because the feeling is so powerful. They did a great job on this part of the anime.

UNIQUENESS
Although Clannad is satisfying to watch, it is not the only one of its kind. There are other animes like it, such as Kanon. However, even within its genre, Clannad is unique in some aspects that (again) I cannot say due to spoiler alerts, if you haven't watched this series already. The story is a unique one, characters are unique...it's just really different from most of the animes I've watched.

OVERALL
Clannad is a very entertaining series to watch if you have some spare time. I wouldn't recommend this to people who like action series, such as: Bleach, Naruto, One Piece, Eyeshield 21, Gundam, etc. I would recommend this to people who like things like Lucky Star, Kanon, and Love Hina. It's a fascinating story, and I'm very sure that you'll like it.
